Munachi Opara from The Lagoon School Emerges 3rd Position at the MTN pulse SpellingBee 2024
Munachi Opara’s journey to excellence began in the primary section of The Lagoon School, where her curiosity and creativity knew no bounds. It was here that she first discovered her passion for spelling, participating in numerous spelling bee competitions that laid the foundation for her future success. Little did anyone know that this bright-eyed young student would one day make history as a champion speller.
A year ago, Munachi embarked on the MTN Pulse Spelling Bee 2024 journey, fueled by unwavering dedication and commitment. Competing against 40,000 students from across the country, she demonstrated exceptional skill and perseverance, advancing through the semi-finals and ultimately securing her place in the highly competitive grand finale.
In a gripping contest filled with nail-biting suspense and inspiring moments, Munachi stood out as a beacon of excellence. She made history by being the last female standing among the 20 finalists and achieved an outstanding 3rd place finish, making her Parents, The Lagoon School and everyone around her proud.
Her hard work and brilliance were rewarded with a prestigious scholarship grant of ₦1.5 million, a brand-new laptop, and an exclusive MTN goodies bag filled with surprises.
